Oh! Isn’t that just beautiful . . it looks like those storybook ones which elves sit under. I’m told it is named Fly Agaric and that the cap will open out to flat in later growth.

Tony-Yes my son spotted it the other day by the compost. I don't know much about mushrooms but this one is very pretty I thought.

What are you growing in that compost pile? Looks like the garden elves were busy! I had some weird things in my red mulch this year-like red fingers.
