I've always wanted to grow one of those big pumpkins! Some day I'm going to do just that.
Dang! 1/2 ton of pumpkin! That's a bit too much pie! Was it glowing radioactively? ;-) Mutant Pumpkin strikes city! News at 11:00!
Steroids! :)
These things and the people who grow them have always amazed me, and especially when they are brought in on a flat bed truck!!
HOLY COW!!!! Now THAT is a pumpkin!
We belonged to an organic gardening club in Maine that had a pumpkin contest. With less than 3 months of gardening they used a lot of trucks. One was a wick that went into a hole in the stem from a cannister of milk.. We had wonderful ones planted behind the barn, but no prize winners. Thanks for the memory.
Whoa, that is a lotta pumpkin!
The biggest pumpkin this year was one that weighed 1502 pounds, grown by a Rhode Island farmer, Ron Wallace. Can you imagine a pumpkin half again as big as the one you photographed. Now that's a serious pumpkin!
