Gardeners! It's Official...Spring is just around the Corner!

Okay, I know gardeners are a different bunch of folk. We get excited over things that most people probably never notice. Today when I went for a garden walk about, I was so happy to see the new growth on one of my clematis. The snowdrops and helebores were an added bonus. I even noticed my lollipop lillies were starting to break ground. Yipee! A light at the end of this dark, wet tunnel! Posted by Picasa

Someone envies you! Unbelieveble that spring is so close there. Here I am with all this slush...just dreaming of spring. Besides I love Clematis! Sometimes it'd be nice to hear the names of them.

You are way ahead of us (Massachusetts). Boo hoo. It is great to be able to visit you and see your garden emerging--gives me hope! Those hellebores & snowdrops--fabulous! And to see the growth on one of your clematis already is most excellent. Lookin' good where you are.

Sandy - if you've had enough rain, do you think you could direct it 'downunder', especially to Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia where they are really battling against bushfires?

Glad the first signs of Spring are showing through and lifting your spirits.

Judith-Isn't it exciting!

Alice-It's too bad we are such rain hogs here on the West Coast! If we could sent some rain over to battle those fires we would do so gladly. There was a story on the news last night about it. Very scary indeed!

Hellebores! Snowdrops! You're getting tired of winter :-).

The only green and yellow around here in January is on traffic signals. What’s going to happen out on Main Street when some poor daydreamer sees the green and yellow and decides to slow down and fantasize about daffodils when everyone else is stepping on the gas? I know from experience; there’s an awful lot of honking.
Only sixty or seventy more long miserable days until spring.

Yahoo! Love your photos that remind me that in a few short weeks I can get out and enjoy the yard again. : )
BTW, I'm not seeing anything green here either.
