Hi Kelli! No it isn't. We never walk around this way when you come over for a visit. It's down by the garden shed.
Sandy, do you ever use the chimenea? I have considered getting one, but I don't think I would use it. Of course, it looks nice just being there, even if it is never used.
Hi Zoey. We used it more when it was closer to the house. I'm considering finding it a home closer next year. I think if I had a choice though I would invest in one of those propane deck heaters. I think you would get more use from one of those.
Sandy - we went to a BBQ last evening where they had one of those heaters - if you mean the ones where the flame burns up high under a little 'roof'? - and it really only kept the top of our heads warm if we stood near it. Admittedly, there was a breeze blowing which would have dispersed any warmed air. I thought perhaps a Chimenea may be more effective, although it wouldn't provide the instant heat.
You are probably right Alice. I think that if I did buy another firepit thing I would get one that was open around the whole thing. This one is only really hot by the opening. There is a picture on Through the garden gate blog that I think would work well.
