Winter Woes

November was a month of weather records. Record breaking rain, snow and the least amount of hours we saw the sun. Needless to say we are happy to see it end. Hopefully December will be a kinder month.
On top of all the crappy weather, I have a rotten cold and haven't made a decent image for ages. I am seriously in a photo funk and gardening has been out of the question. On a positive note...I'm almost done my Christmas shopping.

It does sound like you've had quite a November, and you have to admit that the snowfall is beautiful. (She says from her warmer location where they reached near record-breaking highs yesterday.)

Hope you're feeling better soon. The photographic groove will return. And congrats on the Christmas shopping status!!

As Micki says, the view is beautiful. In Scandinavia, they’d have the reindeer out early and be rolling naked in that snow.

What a great picture. Unfortunately, here in the Pacific Northwest we never get that much snow :(

I think you must be getting our normal weather by mistake! I trimmed grass yesterday in front of my house, and we have not seen a flake of snow yet.

The snow shot is lovely-- you will be back shooting great photos before you know it.

Hello from Toronto,
it is still warm here with a lot of rain in the city comparing to last year.
I love the winter and long walks in the snow.
Love your pictures.

I see no 'photo funk'. You see pictures in just about anything.
I hope you feel better.
I've bought just a few gifts-I have no idea what to buy this year.

I beg to differ with your opinion of not turning out a good image, the photo from Nov.28 is amazing!!!
My dear, you are just in a funk, that is correct. Hope you feel better soon and the sun comes out and shines for a while, that makes all the difference in the world!

"a decent image for ages."

That's the cold talking. Revisit when you feel better, you'll be pleased.

It looks so nice ... from a distance. Yesterday, in Charlotte, we had a record high of 76! :-) Sorry! ;-)

I hope you are feeling better, Sandy. I'm trying to figure out which photo isn't decent, let alone "in ages". Wow, you got clobbered with snow as your beautiful photo shows. We had our first snow on Monday. I haven't recovered...

Cool photo, it looks like a movie set for Narnia or something sort of magical.
