Happy Canada Day to you! I've got a flower flag posted today :)
Hi Sandy! Happy Canada Day to you too!
A quick glance at your site tells me that we are likeminded souls. My family and I are doing our gardening on Gabriola Island, probably not very far from where you are. Please don’t hesitate to visit our website. I am also an amateur photographer.
Some of your flower pictures are out of this world. How do you get those surreal effects? I know that there is a real art to close-up photography, but all I do is push the button until the CU icon comes up and shoot. You must know a lot more than me about these things.
My wife, Sara, grows the flowers and I tend to the vegetables. I do a lot of the cooking and your CU’s of the yummy foods certainly made my mouth water. I also like ethnic cooking, my background is Hungarian.
I always ask gardeners what they feed their plants. So here it goes, what do you feed your plants? I use 100% organic nutrients made by an Abbotsford company (Advanced Nutrients). Keep it in Canada, I often say!
But of course they distribute world-wide. They’re very popular in Australia, I hear. Anyway, they make a whole line of organic and synthetic nutrients and protectors and enhancers for your whole garden. A product of theirs called Tarantula, for instance, colonizes your roots with beneficial bacteria, not only to prevent unhealthy bacteria from attacking them, but also to aid in nutrient absorption.
My kids have a young friend visiting from the States, and they’re about to have a big water fight outside. I must go and referee this. So take care and raise the Maple Leaf proudly!
And to you! I used to spend lots of time in Quebec, and in a small Maine border town, so have seen this holiday celebrated throughly. That was before the Quebecers got ideas of going their own way.
You son is so good about posing for you, but then my grandsons love to be in front of the camera, too.
Happy Canada day Sandy!
Hope it was a great day for you!!
Hope you had a great Canada Day, Sandy!
