My Garden in June

June in my garden is a busy time. Not so much with chores as it is with everything that is blooming. Peonies being my favorite of all. In about a week the garden is going to go from a peaceful calm to a riot of color. When the peonies are finished all will be quiet again. Posted by Picasa

Our peonies don't stand much of a chance right now. Right now they're being smothered by phlox gone wild. Our neighbour cut their big tree down, letting more sunlight into our yard. The whole microclimate in our yard has changed. We've been so much in awe of the phlox that we forgot about the peonies!

Ah yes our beloved peonies! I am cutting as many blossoms and enjoying them indoors before they fall to the ground..so sad when this happens. Next year I must invest in the cages you have!

A beautiful manicured yard! I can see why you like to spend so much time back there. It's splendid!

The garden looks beautiful, Sandy. I have only white peonies which I am going outside to cut so I can enjoy them inside.
