The Urban Nest Rocks!
Day 26 of wind and rain. Since it wasn't an outdoor shooting day(again), I decided to head down to my friend Melanie's store and take some pictures. This is my favorite store! Lots of cool things to take pictures of.
I went to a talk the other night on portraiture photography. The instructor emphasized on how important it is to step out of your comfort zone and take pictures of subjects you don't normally take. So here goes....

Hi Sandy, it's Sandy!
Yes, I'm Melanie's sister. I love your web-site, I think that you are most creative personand take amazing pictures that inspire me. And of course the pictures of "The Urban Nest" are amazing as well. I'm so proud of my sister.
Well, just wanted to say "hi" and to please keep up the fantastic work, I click on almost everyday.
Take care,
Sandy
I wish Melanie would open up a store in Tassie. We just bought a house and I need some tasteful furniture.
Sandy! Your photos show you can step out of your comfort zone & be quite comfortable. There are so many photos here to happily critique, but I will say as a whole collection that you have just shown us here, they all have continuity & interest. Clarity too. How's that? They are wonderful. Keep going, we cheer you on! And the shop, by the way, looks like a neat place! Maybe you ought to do their catalog???
I love it!!
Hi Sandy, it's Sandy-Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I love comments! I am proud of your sister too.(The Urban Wench...as my husband fondly refers to her). The Urban Nest is my favorite store and my house is testament to that. I still have a long want list!
Wendy-What a great idea. I could move to Tasmania and run it for her! Rhys is already packing!
Judith-Thank you it was alot of fun. I am going back next week to take more!
Sylvana-You would love all the kitchen stuff!
